How Long?

Is going to take? How long does a heart break?

Sometimes I forget that heartbreak comes for everyone.  Stays awhile.  Gets comfy.  Settles in.  She stays longer than most people want to realize, feel, and acknowledge.  She stays until you make her a bed and a drink and ask her why she's here and where she's headed.  She's abrasive and rude and insults your cooking.  Her dirty shoes are on your couch.  She's a menace.

I can safely say she moved out of my house a bit ago.  But she's a messy bitch and the clean up is intense.  What did my house look like before she moved in?  Can I get it back?  Should I just move?

I met someone, so I know I'll see her again.  I just hope she's better behaved this time.
